About The Artist

Hello, my name is Jackie Ford and I am the owner of Jacqueline’s Pet Portraits.

I have always enjoyed drawing from a young age and was very much influenced by my late grandfather who was an amateur artist mainly using paint and pastels. In fact I still have the very first painting that he did for me (a field full of horses) hanging on the wall in the study at home.

I have studied via the distant learning LAC (London Art College) and have completed both their Colour Pencil and Pet Portrait Diploma courses achieving ‘Merits’ in both.

I use high quality graphite and colour pencils for my work.

I am a member of UKCPS (United Kingdom Colour Pencil Society).

When I am not drawing, I enjoy travelling, reading, photography, gardening, singing in a local community choir, formula 1, supporting my local rugby team – Northampton Saints and walking Benson and Emily, two much loved dogs both adopted from the world famous Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in London.
