About The Artist

Hello, my name is Jacqueline Ford and I am the owner of Jacqueline’s Pet Portraits.

I have always enjoyed drawing from a young age and was very much influenced by my late grandfather who was an amateur artist mainly using paint and pastels. In fact I still have the very first painting that he did for me (a field full of horses) hanging on the wall in the study at home.

I have studied via the distant learning LAC (London Art College) and have completed both their Colour Pencil and Pet Portrait Diploma courses achieving ‘Merits’ in both.

I use high quality graphite and colour pencils for my work.

I am a member of UKCPS (United Kingdom Colour Pencil Society).

I am based in Northampton, England and live with my partner Bill and our two much loved dogs Benson and Emily, both of whom have been adopted from the world famous Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in London.

When I am not drawing, I enjoy travelling, reading, photography, gardening, singing in a local community choir, formula 1 and support our local rugby team – Northampton Saints.
